Sea Pinks Sea Pinks are a three piece from Belfast, Northern Ireland who play melodic, bittersweet guitar pop. Originally conceived in 2010 as the solo project of singer/ guitarist Neil Brogan (ex- Girls Names), the band became a three piece in 2013 when bassist Steven Henry and drummer Davey Agnew joined full time. Eschewing the lo-fi, DIY aesthetic of the first three LPs (on which Brogan played virtually everything himself), Soft Days (2016) is their most fully realised record to date and was shortlisted for the Northern Ireland Music Prize as well as receiving critical acclaim from the likes of Q (4*s), Uncut (7/10) and The Line of Best Fit (8/10). Sea Pinks have built a reputation as a formidable live act over the years. Most recently in 2016 they toured the UK and Ireland with major UK festival appearances at Green Man and others this summer. The band has a strong following in Europe, with recent shows in Madrid, Paris and a tour of Italy which culminated in a mountain top performance in Padova in May 2015. The new album is scheduled to be released in May 2017.
